Presidents Cup Stays at Behrend for 14th Straight Year

ERIE, Pa. – For the 14th consecutive year, Penn State Behrend was crowned the Presidents Cup Champions presented by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) after a successful 2017-18 season. The Lions earned the honor for the most outstanding overall athletics program in the conference 17 out of 18 years the award has existed.

Behrend captured seven conference championships (women's soccer, women's cross country, men's cross country, men's golf, men's swimming and diving, men's volleyball) and finished runner up in men's tennis, men's soccer, women's swimming and diving and softball. The Lions earned 109.5 points out of a possible 126 in 15 of the 16 sports sponsored by the AMCC to accumulate a .869 winning percentage.

Franciscan was the runner up with .638 winning percentage (65.75 points out of a possible 103) in part to winning the women's and men's tennis championships. La Roche, who accumulated a .579 percentage, won the men's basketball and baseball titles for third place.
