ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend senior women's cross country runner Jenna Shelton (Cabot, PA/Knoch) and freshman men's soccer player Jordan Floyd (Plum, PA/Plum) were selected Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Runner and Player of the Week.
Shelton and the rest of the Lions team competed in the Westminster Fisher Invite on Friday. Shelton took second place at the event with a time of 23:49.41. The invite included 127 runners from 10 teams for the 6k race.
Floyd tallied four goals and one assist for nine points in his debut with the men's soccer team to earn Offensive Player of the Week. He scored two goals and dished out one assist in a 6-3 victory over Alfred in the season opener. Floyd then added another pair of goals, including the game winner against Baldwin Wallace to help the Lions win the HLM Tournament. For his efforts, he was named Tournament MVP.
