ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend senior men's golfer Mark Peters (Mercer, PA/Mercer) and junior men's soccer player Richard Blanchard (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) were selected Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Players of the Week.
Peters and the rest of the Lions team competed in the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational hosted by Allegheny on Sunday. Peters carded a season-low 73 to tie for third on day one of the invitational. The event included 12 teams and 69 golfers.
Blanchard tallied two goals and one assists for five points to keep the Lions undefeated on the season. On Friday, he had one goal and a helper then scored the game-winning goal against Potsdam on Sunday.
