Four Named AMCC Athletes of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's soccer players Richard Blanchard (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) and Matt Warnaka (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk), women's volleyball player Kristin Reiland (Fairview, PA/Villa Maria), and women's basketball player Alanna Dibble (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern) were selected Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.

Blanchard was named the Offensive Player of the Week. He registered three goals and one assist for seven points in the AMCC Tournament this week. Blanchard tallied both game-winning goals to help the Lions claim their 10th AMCC Championship. He netted two goals and handed out one assist in the semifinals, before burying a penalty kick late in the second half in the AMCC title game for the win.

Warnaka earned Defensive Player of the Week. He made a career-high eight saves over 90 minutes to help the Lions defeat Medaille in the AMCC Championship game. Warnaka registered 11 saves during the AMCC Tournament and recorded a pair of wins for a 0.50 goals-against average.

Reiland received Player of the Week for averaging 5.17 kills and 3.33 digs, while hitting .373 in a pair of matches to help the Lions captured the AMCC Championship. Reiland had a double-double in the finals against Pitt-Bradford with a match-high 15 kills and 15 digs. In the semifinals, Reiland posted 16 kills, five digs, three aces and three blocks. She was also named to the AMCC All-Tournament Team.

Dibble earned the first Player of the Week this season for women's basketball. She started against Waynesburg on Friday for the season opener. Dibble registered a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. She also had three blocks and one assist while leading the team to an 83-74 win.
