Bill Breedlove, a graduate of Upper Saint Clair High School in Upper Saint Clair, Pennsylvania,  was a three-year starter for the Behrend Lions soccer team.

He was a terrific defender and an integral part of the 1978 team that beat cross-town rival Mercyhurst 2 to 1 to capture the N.A.I.A. District 18 Championship.  Breedlove's defensive prowess enabled the team to establish a goals-against average of less than one goal per game.

During his defensive tenure, Breedlove's team held the opposition scoreless twenty-two times in the forty-five games he played. He was co-captain as a senior and a two-time Western Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Soccer Conference all-star for head coach Herb Lauffer.

Breedlove graduated from Penn State Behrend in 1983. Breedlove is married, has two children, and is a sales manager for National Recovery Systems.
