Lisa Butch is a 1985 graduate of Northwestern High School in Albion, Pennsylvania, where she was a multi-sport star. Butch continued her athletic success and was recognized as a four-year letter winner in basketball and softball. 

Butch is one of four women to record more than 1,000 points in her career and is listed near the top of several key categories including points, assists, steals, and field goals made. In addition, Butch was also a significant contributor to the softball team that earned its first-ever E.C.A.C. bid in 1989. Butch was tabbed as the "MVP" of the Behrend Lions softball team as a freshman in 1985 and as a senior when she hit .329. Butch was named the Female Athlete of the Year in 1987-88 and 1988-89. In addition, she was elected to receive the John Zahniser Female Scholar Athlete of the Year in 1988-89. 

Butch earned a degree from Penn State Behrend in 1989. Butch is the activities manager at SCI-Cambridge Springs.
