2006 Women's Tennis

The 2006 Penn State Behrend women’s tennis team captured their seventh AMCC title while compiling a 15-1 record and going 6-0 in conference play. The Lions recorded Player of the Week honors all but one time during their historic season.

Behrend edged Penn State Altoona at the AMCC Conference Championship with a team score of 11. Allison Mudrey was No. 1 singles champion while Christy Calvert and Karen Hobaugh took third and fourth singles, respectively. Mudrey and Calvert then went on to beat Altoona in No. 1 doubles by a score of 8-5.

Behrend swept the All-Conference honors that year. Five players were named to First Team All-Conference and four were named Second Team All-Conference. Mudrey was tabbed Player of the Year while Karen Hobaugh was named Newcomer of the Year. Jeff Barger earned Coach of the Year while adding his sixth AMCC Championship to his resume.
