Brittany Hennessy Falkenhan made history as a four-year starter and four-time All-AMCC choice for the Penn State Behrend women’s volleyball team from 2005-08. The libero led the Lions to a 98-33 overall record and an unprecedented 35-1 mark in conference play during her career. Hennessy helped Behrend capture the AMCC Championship in 2005 and the ECAC Championship in 2008. She earned AMCC and Team Newcomer of the Year awards, while being named ECAC Tournament MVP. She holds the record for career digs (2,160) and is second in service aces. 
 
In her freshman campaign, Hennessy was part of a team that helped the Lions capture their second AMCC Championship in program history. Behrend defeated Penn State Altoona for the conference crown, and Hennessy contributed 10 digs and four aces in the three-set win. She led the squad with 61 aces and 538 digs to earn the team’s Rookie of the Year award as well as the AMCC Newcomer of the Year and Second Team All-AMCC honors. 
 
Hennessy eclipsed 1,000 career digs in her sophomore season, registering 600 in 110 sets played. The second-year starter was a member of a team that put together the best record in program history. The Lions posted a 29-4 record, including another unblemished conference mark at 9-0 and a 12-1 record at home. Hennessy was named a First Team All-AMCC selection for averaging 5.45 digs per set and collecting 66 service aces. She helped the Lions earn their first-ever trip to the ECAC Southern Regional Tournament, advancing to the championship game. 
 
In her junior season, the Lions tallied 18 wins, and Hennessy landed on the All-AMCC ballot for a third straight year, this time on the third team. She led the team with a season-best 634 digs and averaged 6.22 digs to rank third in the AMCC. 
 
Hennessy built upon her sophomore year and the first-ever ECAC appearance to capture the program’s first ECAC Championship in her final season. The Third Team All-AMCC choice led the team to a 25-9 overall record and perfect 9-0 AMCC mark. Hennessy also was awarded the team Leadership/Scholarship award, while earning ECAC Tournament MVP. She collected 388 digs and registered 33 aces during the season to cap her career as the all-time leader in digs and service aces.
 
Hennessy graduated from Behrend in 2009 with a bachelor of arts degree in general arts and sciences. She currently lives in Moon Township, PA and works at Eaton Corporation.
