Ali Khan is the only three-time All-American for the Behrend men’s water polo team. Khan, who played for the Lions from 2009-12, was a two-time Division III Eastern All-Tournament Team selection. He ranks second all-time in goals with 193 and drawn kickouts with 138. Khan holds the program record for most shots (537) and is ranked third for most goals in a season, with 67 in 2012. 
 
Considered to be one of the top all-around players during his career, Khan boasted one of the strongest shooting arms in program history. He led the team in scoring in all four years, beginning with 54 goals in his freshman year. Khan also made 31 steals and scored a season-best six goals against Mercyhurst. 
 
A natural leader who was fierce in the water and worked hard to earn his first ACWPC All-American honors as a sophomore. Khan played in every contest and tied for the team lead in goals, with 36. 
 
He put up monumental statistics. But Khan was more than numbers – specially to the Behrend water polo team. He worked hard to bring the team together as a family. 
 
In 2011, Khan led the team to a third-place finish in the Division III Eastern Championships. That year, he registered 36 goals and ranked second on the team with 32 drawn kickouts to earn DIII All-Tournament First Team and All-American Honorable Mention honors once again.
 
Khan punctuated his impact in 2012. The senior found the back of the net 67 times and drew 40 kickouts to lead the team. Khan was also second on the team with 36 steals. For his remarkable offensive achievements, he repeated as a selection on the DIII All-Tournament Team and All-American Team. 
 
Even a decade past his playing career, Khan’s name can be found numerous times in the Behrend record book with 193 goals, 138 drawn kickouts, 100 steals, 51 assists, 27 drawn-penalty shots and 18 field blocks.
