Emily Speice is in her first year as an assistant athletic trainer.

Speice joins the Lions after previously working at D'Youville University from January 2022 to August 2023 as an adjunct faculty chiropractic physician.

Prior to her time at D'Youville, Speice has extensive history working as a chiropractic physician or in sports medicine during the past decade at Erie Spinal Fitness, USPHL Lake Erie Junior Hockey Club, Elmira Enforcers/Pioneers, Iadeluca Chiropractic, Corning Community College, New York Chiropractic College, Hobart and William Smiths Colleges, Canfield Chiropractic and Sports Clinic, HealthSource Chiropractic, Minnesota Swarm Men's Lacrosse, and Fairview Health Institute for Athletic Medicine.

Speice received a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from SUNY Cortland and then went on to earn her Master of Science in sports studies from High Point University and her Doctor of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University.

Along with her education, Speice has been a keynote speaker for several sports medicine symposiums and has worked on three years' worth of research projects related to the sports medicine field.

Currently, Speice is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the National Athletic Training Association.
