Junker Center/Facility Hours

  

 

In 2001, the college opened the Junker Center, a $10.2 million athletics and recreation center, providing Behrend and the Erie community with an outstanding multi-purpose facility.

The 72,800-square-foot site features three all-purpose courts and a gymnasium seating 1,600, an eight-lane swimming pool, weight room, three-lane running track, jumping pits, aerobics room, locker rooms, offices, and a variety of exercise equipment.

In addition to serving recreational needs, the Junker Center provides a new venue for major events. In recent months, it has been the site of commencement, scholarship dinners, concerts and musical productions.

The center is named in honor of the Junker family for their long-standing commitment and generosity to Penn State, and especially their support of Behrend's athletics program.
