BUFFALO, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team made a season-high 11 three pointers, while shooting 48.6 percent from the floor and having all but one player on the roster score to defeat Hilbert 93-35 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Wednesday night.

The win marks the largest margin of victory posted by the Lions (4-3, 2-1 AMCC) this season. Amy Oldach went 8-for-11 from the field for a game-high 20 points and a season best seven steals. Aly Eagle and Kim Pol each drained two triples for 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Julie Bossard and Amber Grosch scored 10 points each for the Hawks (1-6, 0-2 AMCC), who are still searching for their first conference win.

Behrend held Hilbert below 30 percent from the floor and forced 36 turnovers to collect its second straight AMCC victory.

The hosts scored the first two out of three baskets to take a 4-2 lead, but that would be the last time the game was in the Hawks favor. The Lions went on a 21-0 run over the next five minutes for a commanding 23-4 lead. Eagle dropped two from behind the arc and Brianna Bayly knocked in a pair with the second putting Behrend ahead, 28-8.

By the end of the first half, the Lions had built a 32-point lead thanks to the defense for holding Hilbert to just 25 points.

The Hawks would only score 10 more points in the final 20 minutes. Behrend scored 22 points off turnovers and got 16 points from the bench in the second half.

The Lions return to action on Saturday at La Roche. Game time is at 2 p.m.
