Junior pitcher AJ Nichols did not allow any earned runs in two contests (0.00 ERA), while giving up just five hits for a 1-1 week in the circle for the Lions. She threw a three-hit shutout in game one against Thiel. Nichols pitched 7.2 innings and allowed just two hits in a 2-1 loss to Westminster. She struck out 14 batters on the week, seven in each game. Nichols also had five hits, three RBI and a double at the plate.
