Season Comes to an End as Behrend Women's Bowling Receives Second Loss in AMCC Tournament

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's bowling team had their season come to an end on Saturday following elimination in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Tournament. The Lions were paired with Pitt-Bradford following a loss to St. Vincent in the first match of the double-elimination portion on Friday.  

Final Score: Pitt-Bradford 2, Penn State Behrend 0 (Mega Match)
Game 1: Pitt-Bradford 902, Penn State Behrend 780 (Traditional)
Game 2: Pitt-Bradford 900, Penn State Behrend 721 (Baker Five-Game Total)

Noteworthy:

* Natalie Denny (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) was named to the AMCC All-Tournament team
* Denny posted a 175 in traditional format in game one against Pitt-Bradford
* Abigail Lanker (Sunbury, OH/Worthington Christian) led the Lions in team play, rolling a 183
* The Panthers rolled a 201 in the first of five in Baker format, jumping out to a 70-pin advantage over Behrend
* Despite the loss, this season marks the best that the program has had by making it to the second day of the AMCC tournament and picking up their first-ever win in the postseason
