ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend baseball junior infielder Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) has been selected to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District 4 Baseball Team NCAA Division III, selected by CoSIDA.
Sada is being recognized as one of the nation's top student-athletes for his combined performance on the field and in the classroom. He was selected to the Academic All-District first team to advance him to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot.
Sada, a plastics engineering technology major, has held a 3.85 GPA throughout his collegiate career. On the season, he currently ranks second in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) with a .462 batting average, while also holding the third spot in runs batted in with 47. Along with that, Sada leads the Lions in hits (72), runs (58), triples (5), stolen bases (15), on-base percentage (.519), and slugging percentage (.776.) He is also tied for first with six home runs on the year.
