ERIE, Pa. – Junior Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) has been named to the 2018 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings Division III All-Mideast Region Team.
This marks the fifth All-Region honor for Sada in his career and third straight Second-Team selection with the ABCA. The starting shortstop was recently named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) second team after ranking second in the AMCC in batting average (.459), hits (73), runs (57) and doubles (25).
Sada also tied for third with 47 RBIs and was fifth with five triples. He had a .767 slugging and .524 on-base percentage His batting ranked eighth in the country and his hits places him tied for 13th in Division III. Sada's 21 multiple-hit games led him to reach 200 hits for his career this season with a single against Pitt-Greensburg in the AMCC playoffs.
The All-Region teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.
