Sada Named Google Cloud Academic All-American

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend Junior shortstop Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) has been named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America NCAA Division III Baseball Second Team, selected by CoSIDA

Sada made his way to the All-American ballot after being named to the All-District 4 first team. He is being recognized as one of the nation's top student-athletes for his combined performance on the field and in the classroom. Sada was recently named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team and was a second-team All-AMCC selection along with the team's Most Valuable Player.

Sada, a plastics engineering technology major, has held a 3.85 GPA throughout his collegiate career. On the field, he  ranked second in the AMCC in batting average (.459), hits (73), runs (57) and doubles (25).

Sada also tied for third with 47 RBIs and was fifth with five triples. He had a .767 slugging and .524 on-base percentage His batting ranked eighth in the country and his hits places him tied for 13th in Division III. Sada's 21 multiple-hit games led him to reach 200 hits for his career this season with a single against Pitt-Greensburg in the AMCC playoffs.
