NEW CONCORD, Ohio  – The Penn State Behrend baseball team swept Muskingum in a non-conference doubleheader on Sunday, defeating the Fighting Muskies 8-4 (10) in the opener and 7-5 in the nightcap.

Game One
Scores:
Penn State Behrend 8, Muskingum 4 (10 innings)
Records: Penn State Behrend (4-5), Muskingum (4-8)

Key Moments:

* Senior Justin Foreman (Oakdale, PA/South Fayette) scored the eventual game-winning run in the top of the 10th inning
* Behrend tallied four runs on three hits in extra innings to hold off the Fighting Muskies
* The Lions scored all four runs in the 10th with two outs showing
* Foreman doubled and advanced to third on wild pitch, before scoring on a wild pitch
* Behrend erased a 2-0 deficit after the third with three runs in the seventh
* Senior Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) went 2-for-5 with three RBI
* Hurler Phil Myers (DuBois, PA/DuBois Central Catholic) started the game and pitched six innings, before giving way to Eric Mikulan (Pittsburgh, PA/Hampton)

* Sada hit a game-winning two-run homer to also score Dom Charletta (West Newton, PA/Yough) and break a 5-all tie in the top of the sixth
* The Lions did not allow a hit in the final two innings to hold on for the sweep
* Behrend scored four runs on four hits in the third to take the initial lead
* The Lions held a 5-1 lead until Muskingum evened the score at 5-all in the fifth
* Sada and John Brittner (Zelienople, PA/Seneca Valley) tallied two hits apiece
* Sada only tallied extra-base hits, recording a double in the third
* Senior pitcher Brady Kress (Harmony, PA/Seneca Valley) tallied his first win of the season on the mound, striking out three in 3.0 innings of work
