ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team will host the Pitt-Bradford Panthers in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) doubleheader at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.

Behrend News & Notes:

* The Lions are coming off their second straight AMCC split, this time with Alfred State on Saturday
* Behrend won the first game 12-0 and then fell 13-9 in the nightcap
* Last week, Justin Foreman (Oakdale, PA/South Fayette) tallied seven RBIs on six hits
* Foreman tallied multiple hits vs. Medaille and against the Pioneers
* Foreman and Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) each had a home run vs. the Pioneers
* Starter Phil Myers (DuBois, PA/DuBois Central Catholic) remains undefeated on the hill with his second complete game and first shutout of the season vs. Alfred State

Noteworthy:

* Sada is currently ranked first in NCAA Division III statistics in doubles per game (.70) and is fifth with 16 doubles
* Sada now has 83 career doubles to break the NCAA Division III record and is now 13 away from reaching the all-time record (Division I) set at 95 with 13 games left to play in the regular season

* The Panthers sit in fifth place in the AMCC standings with a 7-5 conference mark
* On Saturday, Pitt-Bradford split with Pitt-Greensburg in AMCC action
* The Panthers fell in game one (1-0) and picked up a 3-2 win in game two
* Jason Lucarelli came home on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth to give Pitt-Bradford a one-run victory
* Ben Suter and Nate Renick have combined for five saves for the Panthers
* Suter is tied for first in the AMCC with three and Renick is tied for third with two
