ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend freshman baseball pitcher Thomas Zbezinski (Gibsonia, PA/Pine Richland) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Pitcher of the Week.
Zbezinski threw his third complete game in a 10-2 win over Pitt-Bradford on Thursday. He struck out six and allowed two earned runs to improve to 5-1 on the mound. Zbezinski has a 2.63 ERA in nine appearances and leads the team with 40 strikeouts.
The Lions return to action tomorrow against La Roche for an AMCC doubleheader, beginning at 1 p.m.
