WESTERVILLE, Ohio  – The Penn State Behrend baseball team dropped a pair of non-conference games 1-0 and 9-0 to Otterbein on Monday afternoon.

Game One (Seven Innings)
Scores:  Otterbein 1, Penn State Behrend 0
Records: Penn State Behrend (23-13), Otterbein (22-16-1)

Key Moments

* The only difference in the game was an RBI groundout in the second inning to score the lone run for the Cardinals
* Otterbein used two sacrifice bunts and an error to get a runner on third to touch home on the groundout
* The Lions held a 6-3 advantage in hits yet left 10 runners stranded to the Cardinal's four
* Brady Kress (Harmony, PA/Seneca Valley) started on the mound and pitched the first 2.2 innings for the loss
* There was a combined four strikeouts in game one
* Behrend got effective relief from Eric Mikulan (Pittsburgh, PA/Hampton) and Nate Mayes (North East, PA/North East) over the next three innings

Records: Penn State Behrend (23-14), Otterbein (23-16-1)

Key Moments:

* Otterbein scattered nine runs over six innings
* The Cardinals held the Lions to one hit
* Senior Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) tallied his 90th career double for the only hit to put him six away from the Division I record
* Sada also added a stolen base
* Senior Ben Ramey (Export, PA/Franklin Regional) pitched the first two innings and gave up three hits and one run for the loss

* Head Coach Paul Benim is now one game way from reaching his 1,000th baseball game in his career at Behrend
