Sada, Wagner Named All-ECAC

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend baseball senior Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown) and freshman Joshua Wagner (South Park, PA/South Park) were named to the 2019 Division III All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Team, announced on Thursday.

Sada was voted to the second team, while Wagner earned a spot on the honorable mention. Sada is earning All-ECAC honors for the third time in his career and Wagner is making his first appearance at first base.

Sada led the team and conference in runs (53), doubles (24) and stolen bases (22). The shortstop was also first on the team with 59 hits, while driving in 34 runs and ripping six home runs to go with two triples. Sada was named the Behrend Male Athlete of the Year and to the All-AMCC second team. He broke the Division III record for career doubles, and ranked first nationally in doubles and doubles per game.

Wagner was the lone Behrend player on the All-AMCC first team this season. He led the team and conference with 51 RBIs. Wagner was second on the team with 53 hits and 23 doubles. He posted a .335 average and ranked third in NCAA DIII statistics in doubles and doubles per game.
