ERIE, Pa. – Junior pitcher Thomas Zbezinski (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) and sophomore outfielder Colin Harger (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) have been named to the 2021 D3baseball.com All-Mideast Region Team.
Zbezinski and Harger are collecting their second All-Region accolades of the season, after earning ABCA/Rawlings All-Region honors. Zbezinski was selected to the second team and Harger landed on the third team.
The postseason awards keep accumlating for Zbezinski and Harger, the All-AMCC First-Team choices for the Lions. Zbezinski was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Teamfor throwing a complete game and striking out 11 batters at the championships. For the season, he amassed 85 strikeouts and posted a 1.68 ERA. In his 64.1 innings, he allowed just 41 hits and 12 earned runs to finish with an 8-1 record on the mound.
Harger earned third-team honors once again as an outfielder. The sophomore posted 11 doubles in his 53 hits this season, while batting .421 to lead the team and conference. Harger drove in 25 and scored another 29.
