Two Lions Selected To The 2010-11 AMCC All-Conference Team

ERIE, Pa. –Chris Saltzman has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Co-Player of the Year and collected his second All-AMCC first-team selection announced on Tuesday. Sophomore center Russ Conley was also tabbed to the all-conference second team.

The 2010-11 Co-Preseason Player of the Year, Saltzman leads the team with 17.3 points per game while shooting 52.6 percent from the field. The senior forward also chipped in 5.2 boards per game and led the Lions to the program’s second-best record of 23-4 and a 16-2 mark in the conference. In his final year, Saltzman scored his 1,000th point on February 5 against Pitt-Greensburg. He currently ranks 11th all-time in points scored needing only 75 to reach the Top 10.

Conley is making his first appearance on the All-AMCC team. The sophomore center averaged 15.3 points and pulled down team-best 5.9 rebounds per game. Conley also finished third in the conference in field-goal percentage (54.5) and blocked shots (30).
