Lions Dominate Medaille in AMCC Showdown

ERIE, Pa. – In the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Game of the Week, the Penn State Behrend men's basketball team handed Medaille their third conference loss of the season in dominating fashion. Behrend earned their ninth straight victory winning the game by a final score of 89-60.

The Lions (20-1, 14-1 AMCC) scored a season-high 89 points with all five starters scoring in double figures. Nick DeLisio (Aliquippa, PA/Central Valley) scored a game-high 21 points and set a new career high with nine made field goals. DeLisio added six assists to go along with four rebounds.

Behrend set the tone early scoring the game's first 10 points thanks to three-pointers by DeLisio and Malquan Pullium (Erie, PA/Strong Vincent) and two layups by Wes Davic (Grafton, OH/Midview). Medaille cut the lead down to one point at the 13:52 mark in the first half however that was as close as they would get in the entire game.

The Lions built a double-digit after a three-point play by Keith Wallace (Erie, PA/Central Tech) and a layup by Zane Hackett (Brookville, PA/Brookville) at the 5:20 mark in the first half. Behrend continued to build the lead into half time heading to the locker room with a 48-35 advantage.

The Lions hit the gas mid-way through second half scoring 18 straight points starting at the 12:21 mark and ending with 6:23 remaining in the contest to take a commanding 80-43 advantage. In the middle of the run, Hackett threw down a rim rocking dunk to put an exclamation point on the victory.

Behrend's defense locked down in the second half giving up only 25 points after giving up 35 in the first frame. Medaille shot only 34.8 percent in the game.

Wes Davic recorded his team-leading 10th double-double finishing the game with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Wallace (Erie, PA/Central Tech) had the job of guarding the conference's leading scorer Jammal Coleman and played perhaps his best game of the season. Wallace notched his first double-double of the year recording 16 points, a career-high 14 rebounds and six assists.

Medaille struggled to contain Hackett in the paint as he tore apart double-teams that came his way. Hackett filled up the stat sheet with 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks.

Pullium notched his 11th double-figure scoring performance of the season chipping in 14 points along with three assists and three rebounds.
