Conley Signs in National Basketball League of Canada

ERIE, Pa. – Former Penn State Behrend men's basketball standout Russ Conley (Transfer, PA/Reynolds) has signed with the Niagara River Lions in Thorold, Ontario.

The River Lions are a new addition to the National Basketball League of Canada this season.

This is the third stop for Conley in his professional career. He started in Povaska, Slovakia with the Povaska Bystrica. He was then signed by the local National Basketball Association D-League Erie Bayhawks, where he played for one season.

Now with the River Lions, Conley has seen action in two games. He averages five points per game on 62.5 percent shooting from the floor. Conley also averages five rebounds per game.

Conley was a two-time Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Year and All-Great Lakes Region choice. He was also a three-time All-Conference selection, earning first-team honors his final two years.
