Niland Named AMCC Player of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's basketball senior Andy Niland (Fairview, PA/Fairview) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week.

Niland was named the Purple and Gold Tournament MVP for helping the Lions capture the tournament title over the holidays. He averaged 14.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists in a pair of wins. Niland matched a season-best five three-pointers for 16 points in the championship game against Defiance.

The senior guard is currently ranked seventh in NCAA Division III statistics with 6.6 assists per game.

The Lions return to action tonight at Medaille with tip-off at 8 p.m.
