Men's Basketball Earns NABC Academic Excellence Award, Seven Named to NABC Honors Court

ERIE, Pa. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the Penn State Behrend men's basketball team as recipients of the 2021-22 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award along with seven players named to the NABC Honors Court for outstanding achievement in the classroom.

The Lions receive the team award for carrying a GPA of 3.0 or higher and had seven with a cumulative GPA eclipse 3.2, receiving the individual accolades. Austin Ryan (Moon Township, PA/Moon), Jacob Zeis (Buffalo, NY/Canisius), John Fukon (Cranberry Twp., PA/Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic), Kenny Fukon (Cranberry Twp., PA/Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic), RJ Marsh (State College, PA/Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy), Seth Myers (Erie, PA/General McLane) and Stephen Humphries (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) each represent the Behrend Lions as Honors Court selections, helping Behrend to be one of over 300 programs deserving of the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.
