Men's Golf Places Ninth at Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Inv.

MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team finished 9th out of 18 teams at the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational held by Allegheny at the Country Club of Meadville on Monday.

The Lions, who were in 11th after yesterday's round, moved up two places with a 311 for the course today to total of 632. Wittenberg remained out front to win with a 605 (299-306) and RPI was second with a 606 (309-297).

Ryan Quinn of RPI was the individual medalist with a two-day total of 143 (74-69). Jack Perfett (Moon Township, PA/Moon Area) continued to lead Behrend on day two. He posted a 75 to go with 74 from yesterday to finish with a 149 and in ninth place.

Sean Sculley (Waterford, PA/Mercyhurst) was tied for 50th overall with a 161 total.  He carded a 79 and then came back with an 82 for second on the team. JT Kuchnicki (Pittsburgh, PA/Montour) shaved 10 strokes off his score from yesterday to earn a 76 for the day and 162 all together for 52nd place.

Ryan Matlock (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst) tied Sculley with an 82 on the day, shooting a 164 for both days and tying for 60th overall.

The final score went to Alex Shindledecker (Erie, PA/McDowell). He managed to take 12 strokes off from day one to card a 78 for a 168 total (70th).

The Lions return to action on Saturday at Penn State Altoona Invitational. Tee time is 12 p.m.
