Men's Golf Ties For Third at Altoona

ALTOONA, Pa. – Jack Perfett (Moon Township, PA/Moon Area) led the Penn State Behrend men's golf team with a low score of 72 to tie for third overall at the Penn State Altoona Invite on Saturday afternoon held at the Sinking Valley Country Club.

The Lions took third as a team with an overall score of 307. Grove City won with a 298 total and La Roche was a close second with 299. Behrend and Altoona tied for third.

Perfett led the group of five, finishing even for the course to place in the Top 10. Sean Sculley (Waterford, PA/Mercyhurst) and Ryan Matlock (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst) tied for fifth in the field of 84 golfers with a 77 on the day.

JT Kuchnicki (Pittsburgh, PA/Montour) shot +9 for the course to record an 81 (T36) and Noah Kunst (Kittaning, PA/Kittaning) tied for 44th, carding an 83 on the day.

Behrend returns to action tomorrow at the Mt. Aloysius Invitational beginning at 9 a.m.
