WARREN, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team finished in third place at the 2019 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships at Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club on Monday afternoon.

Key Moments:

* The reigning champions Pitt-Bradford defended its title with a seven stroke lead over second place Penn State Altoona
* The Lions had six birdies on the day and was one stroke behind Pitt-Bradford through 10-13 holes
* Behrend was the only team with three golfers in the Top 10
Garrett Schlick (Harmony, PA/Seneca Valey) had an eagle on this third hole, a par 5 (500 yards). Schlick was even through the first seven holes and managed to finish third overall to pace the Behrend squad
* Senior JT Kuchnicki (Pittsburgh, PA/Montour) was tied with Cary Ignaczak of Pitt-Bradford for first place after day one and finished tied for sixth overall
* Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) led the team with a +2 after the first nine holes and tallied an 87 for 21st place
