ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team will travel to Butler, PA for the 2021 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships held at the Butler Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.

AMCC Championship News & Notes

* The stroke-play tournament is played over two days for 36 holes (18 holes on Monday, 18 holes on Tuesday)
* Tournament pairings for day one: Hilbert/La Roche at 9 am. Followed by MT. Aloysius/Medaille/Pitt-Greensburg at 9:50 a.m. Penn State Behrend/Penn State Altoona/Pitt-Bradford tee off at 10:40 p.m.
* Tuesday's action will commence at 9 a.m. with pairings to be determined by the day-one results.
* The tournament team champion will receive the AMCC's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament which will be held May 10-13 in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL

* The Lions are the defending AMCC Championships from the 2020 tournament in the spring
* Behrend is looking for their 11th AMCC Title in program history and second straight
* The Lions lineup includes: 1) Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) 2) Ryan Johnson (Centre Hall, PA/Penns Valley) 3) Jake Caldwell (Belle Vernon, PA/Belle Vernon) 4) Phil Pedano (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) 5) Dominici DeBone (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional)
* Pol is the returning top finisher from the 2020 AMCC Championships with a two-day total of 157 for third place
* Pol ranks third in the AMCC with a 76.57 average in seven rounds of competition, while Johnson is sixth with a 79.29 average
