ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team will compete twice this week, first in the Gannon Spring Invitational at Whispering Woods on Thursday followed by the Mercyhurst Spring Invitational at Lakeview Country Club on Friday and Saturday.
Weekend Schedule
* 54 holes over three days
* 18 holes on Thursday at the Gannon Spring Invitational at Whispering Woods Golf Club
* 36 holes on Friday-Saturday at the Mercyhurst Invitational at Lakeview Country Club
Behrend News & Notes:
* The Lions competed in their first spring invitational on April 2-3
* Behrend finished fifth out of six teams at the two-day Penn State Division III Challenge
* Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) was the top golfer for the Lions
* Pol tied for sixth place with a 158 (79-79)
* Ryan Johnson (Centre Hall, PA/Penns Valley) tied for 13th overall for 36 holes
* Johnson carded an 83-79 for a 163 total
