ERIE, Pa. - Penn State Behrend senior defender Ryan Maurer (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday September 10. Maurer has anchored and captained a stout Behrend Lion defense that has allowed just on goal in 2018. This past weekend, Penn State Behrend shutout both No. 24 John Carroll University and Hiram College. Maurer also converted the game-winning penalty kick in the 65th minute yesterday, propelling PSB to a 1-0 victory over Hiram.
The Behrend Lions have not lost in 2018 (3-0-1). PSB will head to Geneva on Wednesday September 12.
