Ralph, Perritano Highlight All-Conference Awards Tuesday

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend was well represented on Tuesday morning as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference announced the 2018 men's soccer all-conference award winners.

AMCC All-Conference Teams

Head Coach Dan Perritano was named the AMCC Coach of the Year for the fourth time after guiding PSB to both the AMCC regular-season and tournament titles.  The Behrend Lions have posted a record of 14-3-2, 8-0-1 AMCC this season and will face Lycmoing in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday.

Senior goalkeeper Chris Ralph (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) was named the 2018 AMCC Defensive Player of the Year and landed a spot on the All-AMCC First Team. This season, has a 13-3-2 record in goal this season.  Ralph's .809 save percentage and 0.75 goals against average rank 1st in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.  Ralph has been involved in 10 total shutouts this season.

Three other Behrend Lions joined Ralph on the All-AMCC First Team. Senior Dakota Lange (Apollo, PA/Kiski Area) earned his first all-conference selection of his career on Tuesday. Lange scored eight goals this season. He has also added three assists for a total of 19 points. Lange score a crucial insurance goal late in the AMCC Final and was named to the 2018 AMCC All-Tournament Team.

Junior Aaron Harris also earned All-AMCC First Team honors. Harris scored four goals and added four assists for a total of 10 points.  Harris led PSB with 48 shots this season. Also garnering All-AMCC First Team honors was junior defender Andrew Mastovich (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) helped anchor a defense that only allowed five goals against AMCC opponents. Mastovich also scored three times this season.

Junior defender Nick Schwarzel (South Park, Pa/South Park) was named to the All-AMCC Second Team.  Schwarzel was an integral part of the PSB defense that has posted 11 shutouts this season, seven of those came against AMCC foes.  Offensively, Schwarzel also added two goals, one assist and five points.

Four Behrend Lions were named to the All-AMCC Third Team on Tuesday.  Freshman Logan Brinsky (Pittsburgh, PA/Peters Township) tied for the team lead with eight goals this fall.  Brinsky scored a hat trick against Pitt-Bradford on Oct. 9 and scored a pair of goals against Franciscan in the AMCC Semifinals.  Sophomore Richard Blanchard (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) also landed on the All-AMCC Third Team.  Blanchard scored the game-winning goal in the AMCC Final against Medaille.  He scored three goals during the course of the season and led the AMCC with nine assists. Senior Nick McKee (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) scored two goals, added one assists and had five points en route to an All-AMCC Third Team selection.  Rounding out the all-conference awards was sophomore Christian Eckberg (Pittsburgh, PA/Norwin).  Eckberg started every game this season and scored three goals. He also tallied one assist and seven points this fall.

Penn State Behrend will take on Lycoming in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament later this week.  First and Second Round games will be played at John Carroll in University Heights, Ohio.
