HOUSTON, Texas – Dan Simon (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) broke the school record and finished 12th overall in the 100 backstroke on the third day of the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Houston, Texas.
Simon placed 14th among 35 swimmers in the prelims with a time of 50.43 to advance to the finals. He touched in 49.79 to break his own school record of 50.02, becoming the program's first Honorable Mention All-American for his 12th place finish.
Simon will compete in the 100 freestyle, beginning with the prelims tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
