GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Dan Simon (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) competed in the 100 backstroke at the 2014 AT&T Winter National Championships at the Greensboro Aquatics Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina on Friday morning.
Simon, swimming against all NCAA Divisions, finished 32nd with a time of 49.57 for eighth in his heat. His time is nearly two seconds faster than his best time this season (51.33) in the 100 backstroke. Simon was seeded 31st with his career-best time of 48.66 from last year's NCAA Championships.
He will time trial the 50 freestyle today and return tomorrow to time trial the 100 backstroke.
