ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's swimmer Mark Patterson (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Swimmer of the Week, announced on Monday.
Patterson set the charge for the Lions by winning the 500 free (4:46.30) and the 200 backstroke (1:53.11) this weekend, while earning second in the 200 free with a final time of 1:43.40. He also swam on three winning relays and took third in another. Patterson was instrumental in helping lead Behrend to an overall first place finish (out of nine teams) at the Fredonia State Blue Devil Invitational.
