ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving season will compete in the three-day Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational beginning on Thursday and ending Saturday night. There will be two sessions each day with preliminaries in the afternoon and finals in the evening.

* Last time out, Behrend defeated Baldwin Wallace 130-86 on Saturday, Nov. 10
* Mark Patterson (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) and Chase Bietz (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield) each broke a Baldwin Wallace pool record
* Patterson was first in the 200 backstroke with a new pool time of 2:01.44, while Bietz set a new record in the 200 breaststroke (2:09.74).
* In addition to breaking the 200 breaststroke, Bietz has set the school's freshman record in the same event three times this season
