ERIE, Pa. - The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) announced their weekly Athletes of the Week, naming Jake Schmidt (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) the conferences top swimmer from the Penn State Behrend men's swim team.
Schmidt won a pair of events on Saturday during a dual meet with Nazareth. He set a new team record and was first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:00.77 and also won the 400 freestyle in 4:19.53. Schmidt was also a part of the record-setting 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
