Milan Medo begins his first season as the full-time assistant swimming and diving coach for the Penn State Behrend Lions.

A 2016 graduate Grand Valley State, Medo was a 19-time NCAA DII All-American for the Lakers. He was named the GLIAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Freshman of the Year in 2012, along with and NCAA Scholar All-American in 2013. A native of Slovakia, Medo was named the Slovak Junior Swimmer of the Year in 2009 along with being a member of the Slovak National Swim Team from 2006-2014. Medo graduated from Grand Valley State with a bachelor of science in physical education with an emphasis in sports leadership and went on to earn a master of business administration from University of Findlay in May 2019.

In addition to his playing experience, Medo spent one season as a student assistant coach at Grand Valley State and was a graduate assistant coach for two years at University of Findley. He also worked as an assistant coach in the summers at SC Pirana Topoľĉany in Topoľĉany, Slovakia.
