Nazareth Holds Off Men's Tennis
ROCHESTER, NY - The Nazareth men's tennis team was too much for Penn State Behrend, defeating the Lions (1-1) 6-3 in non-conference action on Thursday night.

Yanique Apgar (Pittsburgh, PA) and Mike Russell (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) were double winners for Behrend, who is playing in its second match off the new season. The two paired up to win the lone doubles match, posting a convincing 8-1 decision at the No. 1 spot.

In singles action, Apgar earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 1 while Russelll gave up four match points to win 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2. 

After taking a 2-1 lead following the doubles matches, Nazareth were able to hold of the Lions despite the two wins by Apgar and Russell for a 6-3 margin.

Behrend returns to action on Tuesday against Alfred. The match begins at 3 p.m.
