McFarland Named AMCC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week

Penn State Behrend freshman Brent McFarland has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week, announced on Monday. It is the second time he has earned the honor this season.

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend freshman Brent McFarland (Austinburg, OH/Geneva) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week, announced on Monday. It is the second time he has earned the honor this season.

McFarland went undefeated in singles play (3-0) and posted a 2-1 record in doubles, helping the Lions (6-3) win three straight matches over the weekend. He blanked is opponent at No. 4 singles against D'Youville on Friday (6-0, 6-0). His only loss was an 8-5 decision at No. 2 doubles against Waynesburg on Saturday. 

Behrend returns to action on Monday, March 7 against Eastern Nazarene at 1 p.m. in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
