ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team had four double winners on the night to post a 9-0 victory over Waynesburg in non-conference action on Saturday night at Westwood Racquet Club.

Brent McFarland (Austinburg, OH/Geneva), Scott Russell (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) were double winners in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. Collectively the won 8-3 at No. 1 doubles. Russell then tallied a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles and then McFarland recorded a 6-1, 6-3 win at second singles.

Brenden Dollard (Pittsburgh, PA/Peters Township) and Michael Duckett (Girard, PA/Fairview) joined forces for an 8-1 No. 2 doubles decision and then went on to win their singles match. Dollard was successful at No. 3 singles, winning 6-0, 6-1. Duckett followed in the No. 5 spot for a 6-0, 6-1 win.

Behrend swept the doubles, ending with Nick Kapty (Monongahela, PA/Ringgold) and Michael Funera (Hermitage, PA/Hickory). In the No. 3 spot, the two some posted an 8-5 win.

Brett Palmer (North East, PA/North East) took care of the No. 4 singles responsibilities with a 6-1, 6-1 decision and Jeremy Burnheimer (Johnstown, PA/Westmont Hilltop) closed out the sweep of the entire match with a shutout at No. 6 singles (6-0, 6-0).

The Lions return to action on Saturday against Ohio Northern. Match begins at 6 p.m. at Westwood Racquet Club.
