Men's Tennis Competes in Pair of Matches This Weekend

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team will compete in back-to-back matches over the weekend, beginning on Friday on the road at Baldwin Wallace and then host Westminster on Saturday at the Westwood Racquet Club.

Friday, February 22 - Behrend at Baldwin Wallace,  6 p.m. | Live Stats
Saturday, February 23 – Behrend vs. Westminster, 1 p.m.

* The Lions are currently 2-2 overall
* The weekend matches are the first contests of the spring season for Behrend
* The Lions are coming off a 9-0 win over Pitt-Bradford on October 5
* Brent McFarland leads Behrend with a 2-2 singles record at the No. 1 spot

* The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 9-0 win against Washington & Jefferson on Feb. 15
* Baldwin Wallace enters the match with a 3-0 overall record
* The Yellow Jacket have not lost a set point this season

* The Titans open the 2019 season against the Lions on Saturday
* Westminster's roster features eight players including five sophomores and three freshmen
* All five sophomores return from last year's 4-9 team
* Sophomore Miguel Ascencio led the team last season with an 8-3 overall record at No. 1 singles
