ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend tennis teams will travel to Houghton and battle the Highlanders in non-conference action on Tuesday. Matches begin at 4:30 p.m.
Behrend Men News & Notes:
* The Lions are 7-8 overall, recently defeating Thiel 8-1 on Friday night
* Behrend won all three doubles and five singles matches
* Johnathan Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt), Mitchell May (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) and Mason Harbaugh (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) won in both doubles and singles
* Laier and May have eight doubles wins together in the No. 1 spot
* May also leads in singles wins at eight (No. 2)
* The Highlanders lead the all-time series 5-1 against the Lions
Behrend Women News & Notes:
* The Lions are 8-4 overall this year
* Last time out, Behrend fell 9-0 to non-conference Otterbein
* The match is the second of the spring season for the Lions
* In the fall, Behrend tallied a second-place finish at the AMCC Championships on Oct. 17
* Erica Jasinski continues to lead the Lions with a 10-2 overall record at No. 1 singles
* Houghton posted an 8-1 win over Behrend on March 19, 2019
