Men's Track and Field Tie for Seventh at ECACs

ITHACA, NY – The Penn State Behend men's track and field team team wrapped up the 2017 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships Saturday afternoon. 

Luke Patten (West Middlesex, PA/West Middlesex) is the ECAC Champion in pole vault. The senior vaulted to a height of 4.97 meters (16'3.5") to tie his personal and school record to take the crown.

Matthew Grafton (Worthington, PA/Kittanning) got things going for the Lions with a third-place finish in the 60 meter hurdles. He raced to an 8.37 time, just .13 seconds shy of the top. He then placed in the 500 meter race. His time of 1:06.47 broke the school record and was good enough for fourth overall.

The men compiled 35 points to tie for seventh out of 48 teams.
