Track and Field Secured Top Finishes at Alfred State Friday

ALFRED, NY. – The Penn State Behrend track & field teams competed in the Early Season Invitational at Alfred State on Friday.

Key Moments:

* The men's 4x100m team of Eric Stehlik (Northport, NY/Northport), Amory Coleman-Reeves (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep), Antonio Stello (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney), and Jack Georgetson (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell) took home the gold with a time of 43.34
* Stehlik finished third in the men's 400m dash, running 51.22
* The Lions finished one, two, and three in the 100m dash with Coleman-Reeves (1st – 11.33), Stello (2nd – 11.54), and Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) (3rd – 11.63)
* Coleman-Reeves pulled in a silver medal in the long jump (6.88m)
* Stehlik and Stello came in first and second in the 200m dash, running 22.60 and 23.07, respectively
* Behrend 4x400m men's team of Isaac Jones (Union City, PA/Union City Area), Zachary Tingley (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview), Nick Temel (Conneaut Lake/Conneaut Area), and Phoenix Myers (Erie, PA/Seneca) took home the silver, running 3:35.16
* Matt Michael (Erie, PA/Iroquois) won the men's shot put (14.37m) followed by Jacob Rose (Lawrence Park, PA/Iroquois) in second (13.88m)
* Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) finished seventh in the women's long jump, leaping 4.67m
* Hetrick (1.85m), Evan States (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) (1.80m), and Anand Bhambhwani (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) (1.80m) came in first, second, and third, respectively in the men's high jump
* In the men's discus throw, Dan Dabrowski (43.49m) and Michael (42.23m) won first and second places
* Freshman Haley Felton (Midway, PA/Fort Cherry) finished third in the women's javelin throw, throwing 28.62m
* Kappeler and Maria Campbell (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) went third and fourth in the women's pole vault with leaps of 2.90m each
* The men's team swept the pole vault with Georgetson (1st- 4.40m), Islam Daghestani (Meadville, PA/Meadville Area) (2nd- 4.25m), Kevin Stebick (Waterford, PA/Fort LaBoeuf) (3rd- 3.95m), and Lucas Makai (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington Regional) (4th- 3.65m)
* Bhambhwani and States came home with first and second places in the triple jump, respectively
