Men's Track and Field Picked to Finish Atop CSAC, Women Voted to Second-Place Finish

ERIE, Pa. – The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) announced the preseason poll for men's and women's track and field on Wednesday. The men's team has been selected to finish above all others as the women's side is predicted to finish second.

The Behrend men's track and field team enters 2022 following a CSAC Championship-winning season just a year ago. In 2021, the Lions earned a score of 342 at the conference finale and had both Track and Field Athletes of the Year. Phoenix Myers (Erie, PA/Seneca) returns as the CSAC's best runner, winning the 3000m steeplechase, 1500m and 5000m last year, earning All-Conference honors along with CSAC Track Athlete of the Year.

The Behrend women's track and field team is coming off a second-place finish in 2021 with a team score of 139 in last year's championship. Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin) returns following a season where she was named CSAC Track Athlete of the Year for her performance in the championships, winning two events (1500m, 5000m).

Alfred St., last year's winner on the women's side are expected to repeat as champions in 2022.
