Rose and Laslavic Qualify for AARTFC Championships During Tomcat Invitational

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's track and field team competed in the Tomcat Invitational on Saturday hosted by Thiel.

Noteworthy:

* Jake Rose (Lawrence Park, PA/Iroquois) qualified for the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships with a toss of 13.52m in the shot put, earing gold on Saturday
* Matthew Laslavic (Zelienople, PA/Seneca Valley) took second in the javelin throw with an AARTFC-qualifying mark of 52.76m
* Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) topped all competitors in the high jump with a leap of 2.00m
* Dan Dabrowski (Harborcreek, PA/Harborcreek) took second in the discus with a final mark of 42.15m
* Aidan Domencic (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) had a second-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing in 10:19.75
* Eric Stehlik (Northport, NY/Northport) took silver in the 100m dash, crossing in 11.11
* Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) earned the win in the 800m (1:58.40)
